The 3rd Eastern Mediterranean International Medical Students' Congress (EMIMSC) took place between 4th - 6th June 2021 in EMU Online. That year, EMIMSC 2021 was about the theme of ' Multidiciplinary approach to cardiovascular surgery in progressive world '.
The Congress program included joint sessions/plenaries, where world renowned Medical Scientists and Medical Doctors deliverd speeches and presentations on Multidiciplinary approach to cardiovascular surgery in progressive world, listed below;

- Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tolga Ulus :Modern Methods in Vascular Surgery Today
- Prof. Dr. Öztekin Oto: Minimal Invasive Heart Surgeries in Children and Adults
- Author Exp. Dr. Murat Kınıkoğlu: Vegan Nourishment and Cardiovascular Diseases
- Prof. Dr. Haşmet Bardakçı: Heart surgeries through infra-axillary approaches
- Dr. Toniya Singh: New Knowledge and Advances in Treatment of Heart Diseases in Women
The Congress was open to medical and pre-medical students as well as students working on topics of health studying a multitude of disciplines (health sciences, psychology, pharmacology, molecular biology and genetics departments). The Congress focused on original scientific research presentations of participating students, where the presentations of best studies awarded. The Congress program also covered workshops about current issues in medicine and health, building clinical skills, as well as fun and unique recreative workshops.
In details, The Mindfulness workshop hold by M.D., M.P.H. Ayşe A. ATASOYLU, and was giving guests simply awareness of the moment and perceiving situations without judging. With high interest ‘Learn a Brand New Language : French and German Edition’, offered an entertaining language learning workshop, which included open-ended chats on the basics of French and German language. Prof. Dr. Axel Würz would be educating student about psychotherapeutic approach to cope with different traumas and difficulties of living in pandemic. He delivered an introductory workshop about acceptance and commitment therapy. Nanotechnology lovers could not believe the ‘ Advances in nanotechnology in cardiovascular surgery’ presentation hold by Dr. Ülvan Özad which explained most up-to-date research in these fields and its uses in cardiovascular surgery. In addition to this, Dr. Ülvan Özad discussed olutions to the problems which are experienced by hearing-impaired citizens in health centers and the existing insufficiencies in the ‘Importance of Sign Language in the Health Sector’ workshop. Lastly, Prof. Dr. Hakan Gündüz and Dr. Günay Yolcu focused on the importance and conditions of proper posture.
